Netherlands National Football Team

Netherlands National Football Team in association football and is controlled by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB), the governing body for football in the Netherlands.

They won the European Championship in 1988. At the peak of their success in the 1970s, the team was famous for its mastery of Total Football and was nicknamed Clockwork Orange for its precision passing. In August 2011, the team was ranked number 1 in the FIFA world rankings, thus becoming the second national football team, after Spain, to top the rankings without previously winning a World Cup. The Netherlands National Football Team remains one of the strongest football nations in the world.
